Three positions on the 9-member BCA Board expire each year. The April issue of the magazine will publish the ballot and election write-ups of those who wish to run for a seat on the Board. It is an unpaid, 3-year term, although you do get some of your travel expenses reimbursed when there is a face-to-face meeting.
Most of the meetings are via telephone conference call.
The only requirements are that you must be a paid-up member of the BCA and be able to attend the face-to-face meeting which is held each year at the BCA national meet. You should also have access to e-mail, since meeting agendas, minutes, budgets, and treasurer’s reports are distributed by e-mail.
If you wish to run for a seat on the Board, we will need your biographical write-up and a photo of your face by the deadline of February 24th, for the April issue of the Bugle . Your write-up should give some of your background and reasons for running, and any plans or goals for the club and how you would help achieve them. Please limit biographical write-ups to 700 words or less. Send write-ups and a photo of yourself (from the shoulders and up) to Pete Phillips, Bugle Editor, at or PO Box 1247, Leonard, TX 75452 to arrive before the February 24, 2025 deadline.
The Board is looking for new faces and fresh ideas to carry the BCA into the future.
